For dancers interested in a more intense commitment, our PRIDE performing arts company provides an exciting and fulfilling dance education. The program strives to give each student a genuine respect for dance and the performing arts, encourage teamwork, and instill a passion for learning and performing. We provide the opportunity to train with the best instructors and choreographers from across the country, the ability to share their love of dance with the community, exposure to competition, and the resources to take their training to the next level. Our award winning, family friendly program is for the serious dancer, and several of our students have gone on to perform professionally.
The award winning 24/7 P.R.I.D.E. Company will hold their auditions for the 24/25 season in June 2024.
2024 Company Auditions will be held at 24/7 Dance Studio. Placement in company is by audition only for school age dancers (both ages 6-18 & in grades 1-12).
***All Auditions run 5:00-9:00 pm***
Elementary – Wednesday, June 5 (must be 6 by 9/1/2024;
(1st & 2nd graders will be released 7:00-7:30pm)
Middle School – Thursday, June 6
High School – Friday, June 7
You may be asked to return for the next day after your assigned time for additional placement.
All students will audition in all genres: Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, and Vocal. Bring all shoes and prepare a 16-bar (~30 second) upbeat vocal selection. You may indicate genre preferences.
Arrive 15 minutes early to register.
Be sure to arrive warmed up and dressed in leotard and tights, with hair secured in a bun.
Male dancers please wear black & white form-fitting attire.
The audition will consist of center technique, across the floor, and combinations.
You may bring additional attire for hip hop/tap portions of the audition.
-All students are expected to bring a headshot and resume*, $10 audition fee, to try their best in all genres, and perform.
-Grades 1-3** should be able to chasse with opposite arms, chaine’ turn, know basic positions and terminology, and follow directions. Grades 1-2 will be released between 7:00-7:30 pm.
-Grades 4-5** should be able to do a single pirouette on both sides, grand battements in all directions, chaine’ turns, and a leap.
-Middle/High** school students should be able to execute double pirouette, perform well, have knowledge of several turns/jumps/leaps, and pick up choreography quickly. Our High School level audition will be fast paced and intense. Dancers should have completed our Teen Level 2 classes at minimum.
-We will likely ask to see improvisation/freestyle.
*Resume should include contact information, personal stats, education, and experience as well as a headshot..
