Meet Mandy Ulrey

Dance Instructor

Mandy is happy to have found a home teaching at 24/7. She can be found at the studio on Thursday nights teaching tap and the adult contemporary students and helping in all the other classes as a floating teacher. Mandy might also pop into one of your classes as a sub at some point. In her classes, Mandy challenges her students to work toward proper technique within their individual bodies and concentrate on the quality of their movements. She has worked with many studio-based performance companies and has won choreography awards at various competitions for her work. In addition to competitions, Mandy has been a guest choreographer for the Cedar Crest College Dance Company’s annual fall show. She received a dance scholarship to Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA and performed as a member of the dance company there under the direction of Carol Welton-Kelly. She has worked with choreographers such as Margot Clifford-Ging, Robert Torres, Robin Gerchman, Michelle Barber (Broadway Dance Center) and Nicole Hockenberry (T.A.P.) During college, Mandy performed with CMDanceExperience and served as artistic director of the company her senior year. Theater credits include The Trojan Women, choreographer for the Pennsylvania Playhouse production of Annie and assistant choreographer of Godspell at Cedar Crest. Mandy graduated from Cedar Crest with a BS in biology, minoring in Dance. In her classes, Mandy challenges her students to work toward proper technique within their individual bodies and concentrate on the quality of their movements. She is very excited about the opportunities for adults to dance here at 24/7. If you "used to dance" or have never danced before, she urges you to do something for yourself and join our thriving community of adult dancers.
