This week in Learn Your LIMBS, start strong and encourage animal walking!

Animal walks are the perfect

blend of fun for children while also having numerous benefits. These include:

Full body strength

Improved bilateral coordination

Greater joint mobility

Preparing for handwriting (any

crawling exercises - the space between the head and hand on the floor is about

the same as head and hand on paper)

Imagination

Moving like an animal uses

steps like crawling, jumping, and generally using the entire body at once for

great functional strengthening.

You don't need any special

equipment to move like an animal! Swipe through for some ideas, and remember

the benefits of animal walking are for all ages!
