Mandy Ulrey

Mandy has been teaching hip-hop, jazz, contemporary/modern, ballet and tap at dance studios around the Washington D.C. area for the past 15 years, and is happy to be at 24/7 for the past 8. She has worked with many studio based performance companies and has won choreography awards at various competitions for her work. In addition to competitions, Mandy’s work has been performed in the White House Pagent of Peace and she is routinely invited to be a guest choreographer for the Cedar Crest Dance Company’s annual fall show. She received a dance scholarship to Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA and performed as a member of the dance company there under the direction of Carol Welton-Kelly. She has worked with choreographers sure as Margot Clifford-Ging, Robert Torres, Robin Gerchman, Michelle Barber (Broadway Dance Center) and Nicole Hockenberry (T.A.P.) During college, Mandy performed with CMDanceExperience and served as artistic director of the company her senior year. Theater credits include The Trojan Women, choreographer for the Pennsylvania Playhouse production of Annie and assistant choreographer of Godspell at Cedar Crest. Mandy graduated from Cedar Crest with a BS in biology, minoring in Dance. In her classes, Mandy challenges her students to work toward proper technique within their individual bodies and concentrate on the quality of their movements.
