Corissa Collins was born and raised in Frederick, Maryland. She graduated from high school in 2014, and had danced at 24/7 Dance Studio for 12 years. Before graduating, Corissa had been a part of 24/7 Dance Fusion, participated in a few MTF shows, such as Seussical and Legally Blonde, and had received many scholarships for her dancing. Some of those include: the Linehan dance scholarship at UMBC, a hip hop scholarship from JUMP Dance Convention, and many open floor scholarships from Maryland Council for Dance workshops. Now, Corissa is a junior at Hood College and is majoring in Art Education. She has set choreography of many different styles on herself and her students, including lyrical, hip hop, and ballet, and has experience teaching dance camps over the summer and subbing for the other teachers at 24/7. This dance season she will be instructing students from ages 3 – 4 years old on Wednesday evenings how to have fun and learn to dance.
